Hofstra University hosts an Entrepreneurial Assistance Program which provides the “nuts and bolts” skills that business owners need to operate and grow a successful business. As part of the program, Laura Sabbagh was engaged to teach students about the various forms of business ownership and the income tax consequences of those choices, as well as payroll tax, sales tax, self-employment tax, tax tax tax and more tax! As an entrepreneur herself, she understood exactly how the students felt and was able to share her experiences with those who are organizing their own business as she has.
Teaching has always been one of Laura’s passions, and she will always remember how enjoyable teaching the class was. For more information on the Hofstra EAP program, contact Judith Tyne or Laura Fetter – they’re both tremendous resources for new business owners.
